How You Can Help

There are so many ways you can help, either as an individual, a group, or a business.

Volunteer your time – We can always use help picking up food, sorting and stocking shelves, working with those we serve, doing paperwork. Sponsor a food drive through an organization, church or by yourself.  If you have time, we have a need you can fill.

Donate food – Canned and dried goods, and fresh produce, we can use it all.  All except fresh produce needs to be in new, sealed containers.  Unfortunately, we cannot accept any pre-cooked or home canned or frozen food items.

Donate money – The food items we purchase come primarily from the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia.    We can secure 5.5 pounds of food for every dollar donated. Your donated money will go a long way!

Donate personal hygiene productssuch as shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, bars of soap, feminine products, dish and laundry detergent.  We collect unopened hotel samples of hygiene items (excluding mouthwash and razors).

Just Donate! – As with any non-profit trying to use all their donated money for services, we can certainly use other items such as services (printing, consulting, painting, plumbing, electrical), office needs (telecommunication equipment, computers, office equipment, office supplies), advertising (to help us get the word out about the need), auction items (that we can use for fundraising).

We are a 501(c)3 so most donations are tax deductible.  Please consult with your tax adviser.

We are happy to answer any questions, schedule tours of the pantry, or speak to your organization about how to help.
